We have returned! The Tokyo Summer Maximum tour was a complete success, and we've lived to tell you the tale! My dear travelers and I have been all over Tokyo, taking in the sights and sounds, and wonderously awesome (?!) experiences of Japan, and now we're going to showcase it all to you. Expect continuous updates detailing our adventures in Tokyo, as well as a ton of pics. We hit up Akihabara, Harajuku, and Shibuya, after a full day visiting Tokyo Tower, Asakusa, Meiji Shrine - and BEING NINJAS. Don't forget the Rebuild of Evangelion movie, the Ghibli Museum, and last but not least, THE TOKYO GAME SHOW. |

We're not done in February! The tour we have lined up for March is a special one. We know a lot of you out there aren't terrible keen on the idea of been dragged along on a tour. That's why this one should be right up your alley. On Destination Japan's March tour (title TBA), all tour activities are completely optional! Each day except the last is a free day, and you can roam the country free of the shackles that normal, traditional tours will put you in. For those of you who are first-time visitors, the tour's activities will not only give you an awesome experience in Japan, they'll also serve to get you accustomed to pop/modern and traditional culture of Japan, as well as how to move around and operate. We'll spend 5 nights in a stellar hotel in Tokyo, and friendly, experienced, bi-lingual guides will show you the ropes of the burgeoning metropolis. We'll of course include shopping trips in Akihabara, Harajuku, and Shibuya. And the kicker? Destination Japan's March tour will take participants to the Tokyo Anime Fair!! Stay tuned for more information on this tour and others, as well as frequent updates next week for the Tokyo Summer Maximum Tour!
One last thing before I end this post... A couple of ideas I'm milling over for next year's March tour are maid cafes, the Ghibli Museum, SUMO WRESTLING... Oh, and who wants to try staying in a CAPSULE HOTEL? |

Destination Japan's first tour of 2008 (title TBA) will be a tour of the fast-paced city of Tokyo, capped off with a visit to Hokkaido - the northernmost (and coldest) part of Japan - to experience the amazing Sapporo Snow Festival. With a solid line-up of action, including shopping in the famous anime mecca of Akihabara, a visit to the two fashion hubs Harajuku, and Shibuya, ample sightseeing at some of Japanese most historic locations, and even enough room for an entire free day to spend any way you want, this tour is gonna be totally unbeatable. We'll spend 6 nights in the luxurious Hilton Tokyo Hotel, and it'll all be at an extremely competetive price. More info coming in the upcoming weeks, so keep on dropping in on the site! |
