Last September, the 2011 Tokyo Game Show had the largest number of visitors in its history with 222,688 people attending. Tokyo Game Show has grown every year since its inception. This is the KING of gaming events where entire companies in the video game industry congregate to show off their latest game creations.
The main event for the 2012 Tokyo Maximum Tour is of course the Tokyo Game Show. We have spiced up the tour by including "Odaiba Day." At Odaiba, we will check out Gundam Front Tokyo which just opened in April 2012 AND Joypolis - the indoor amusement park featuring arcade games and rides based on Sega intellectual properties. Joypolis is under renovations and is expected to re-open this July. We will also be visiting must-see spots like Akihabara, Shinjuku, and Harajuku. Various optional activities are also available. This is your opportunity to see the Japan you’ve dreamed about.
NEW FEATURE OF THIS TOUR
“Tokyo Odaiba One Day” takes you to see the actual (sized-to-scale) 60 foot tall Gundam statue which just opened this April and to Joypolis the SEGA managed indoor amusement park. Nearby is the Hot Spring Experience at Tokyo Oedo Onsen Monogatari. Tokyo Odaiba day will be a fun filled and unforgettable experience.We have two accommodation plans for you this year. Description: This hotel option is for those who want to travel to Japan on a low budget. The Sakura Hotel Ikebukuro is for participants who only need a place to sleep and would prefer to save their money for shopping and other activities. The rooms are dormitory-style with bunk-beds. In many cases you will be sharing your room with guests from all over the world. There are shared bathroom and kitchen facilities. Every morning you will need to make the ten minute walk on your own to the Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo to meet other members of the tour. Don’t be late!
