On March 11, 2011, Japan experienced one the most devastating natural events in its history when a magnitude 9.0 earthquake hit off the coast of northeastern Japan. More than 14,949 are confirmed dead and more than 9,880 people are still missing. We don't see the disastrous situation on TV as often as before here in the U.S.A. but until now countless residents are still having tough times, spending nights at shelters, and putting all their efforts into the recovery of their towns and homes. A lot of people all over the world may be thinking what they can do for Japan? The cleanup areas are huge and the manpower needs are seemingly endless. Here is your chance. Our "Volunteer in Japan" effort makes it possible for you to actually help with your own two hands. The program is only a weekend long but your contribution will be remembered for a lifetime. This volunteer work is serious and challenging. We ask that your participation to help be heartfelt. People with a half-hearted or voyeuristic attitude should not sign up for this effort. You must be at least 18 years of age to participate.
