The Tokyo Anime Fair is hosted once a year at the Tokyo International Exhibition Center, better known as Tokyo Big Sight. Tokyo Big Sight is located in the Odaiba area in Tokyo Bay, and is one of the largest convention venues in the whole city, which means there's plenty of room for all the big-name anime production companies to get their anime on. Anyone interested in anime, manga, figures, art, or anything semi-related will be able to take in the excitement of the fair.
The 2008 Tokyo International Anime Fair was host to almost 300 anime-related companies, and had over 100,000 visitors. The first two days are open only to industry folk, but the show's doors are opened to the public on Saturday and Sunday. Destination Japan wants to bring you to that door, and let you step over the threshold into one of Japan's biggest anime trade fairs.
Catch a glimpse of anime you've only heard whipers about, see famous anime producers, directors, and voice actors at company booths, and get enjoy the exciting buzz of fandom that permeates the entire show hall.
